Travel is one of his specialties and it has taken him far and wide, to places such as Fiji, Scotland, Tahiti, much of Australia, Samoa, Mexico, Mentawai Islands, Ireland, Tonga, Japan, Java, New Zealand, Philippines, Cocos Islands, Nova Scotia, King Island, England, Haipai Islands and of-course, annual pilgrimages to his homeland of Tasmania.
Career highlights include several awards at the 2000 and 2001 Australian Surf Photography awards, including Photographer of the year and most recently; a finalist for the photo of the year at the 2003 prestigious Surfer Magazine Awards.
