Bill Romerhaus: Photographer
North Shore Photography was started in 1983, however photographer Bill Romerhaus first started taking photographs and doing darkroom work as a freshman in high school. He has lived in Hawaii for over 45 years. In 1965 he shot his first surfing photo and was a contributing photographer to SURFER and SURFING magazines for several years.
From that time until 1983 he worked part time as a studio portrait photographer, color printer, and a military photo hobby shop manager. In 1983 he started North Shore Photography, specializing in black and white professional darkroom services.

Bill is currently represented by Index Stock Imagery (an international stock agency based in New York), Stock Photos Hawaii, and Photo Resource Hawaii. He now specializes in printing historic and nostalgic images of Hawaii (aka Nostalgic Photos Hawaii) from the thousands of photos he has produced and collected as a professional photographer in the past four decades living in Hawaii.
In our own way we feel we are contributing to preserving and promoting the history and culture of Hawaii for Kama'aina and visitors to display or share with others all over the world.
